I just want to take a minute to brag on this group of amazing kids. Over the last two days they have been so respectful and have worked their tail-ends off helping Mrs. Clara and Mr. Butch Mouser get ready for their auction. I truly could not ask for a better group of kids. Also we would like to give a HUGE thank you to: Mrs. Clara, Mrs. Sherry, Mr. Ronnie, Mrs. Gayle, and anyone else who contributed to the generous donation to FBLA and BETA, and for supplying pizza and soda today at lunch. Mallorie’s grandma, Kristy, and Braydan’s Grandma, Lethia, for supplying lunch on Thursday. We truly are blessed with the best kids and community! ~❀️ Mrs. Stephens

The MZ cross-country runners traveled to Woodland and Potosi this past week. Woodland was wet and muddy, but the runners toughed it out and turned in some good times! Potosi is one of the toughest courses the runners will face during their cross-country season at Marquand. They all should be proud of themselves for Saturday's performances! Hayden Wolfe and Eli Reimler were able to bring home medals! Hayden got 25th place and Eli got 28th place! The runners travel to Farmington (Engler Park) this Saturday for their next race!

Animal Science students had the opportunity to visit Walker Meat Processing on Thursday for a hands on approach where our food comes from. We are so very grateful for Justin, Kelli, Miranda, and Caleb, business owners in our community, the family atmosphere of their establishment, and the professionalism displayed in processing practices. Harvesting animals can be difficult for some to witness, however, bringing a sense of purpose and understanding inspired curiosity. Again, Thank You! Walker Meat Processing for allowing students the privilege. Secondly, Congratulations to Maddie Stephens on her doe harvested from over the weekend. We now get a hands on opportunity into the mechanics of a four chambered heart, along with functionality. #Lessonsthatinspire #blessedwhereIteach #skaggsscience

Mrs. Skaggs Agricultural Science class had a great trip to the Farmington Regional Stockyards this morning! Students finished their look into Missouri Beef production, management, and marketing. A quick trip, but great way to wrap up a unit! Also, thank you to our parents that allow their student(s) permission to take off campus excursions, bringing applicability to content.
