The Staffords and Dees have a long-standing connection to Marquand-Zion, with multiple generations attending the school. 2024 graduates Ellie Stafford and Joel Dees have greatly benefited from the school's excellent academic programs since kindergarten, shaping them into bright and inquisitive individuals. Ellie is pictured with her grandmother Diane Braswell ('76) and mother Leslie Stafford ('96), who are proud members of the Marquand-Zion community and have played a significant role in shaping the school's history. Joel is pictured with his grandfather Steve Dees ('64) and father Jason Dees ('94), who are equally proud of their family's association with the school and have contributed to its continued success.

Aurora Borealis makes an appearance in Southeast Missouri.
The first of six coronal mass ejections from the sun reached our planet this afternoon. This ignited a severe geomagnetic storm in our atmosphere. As a result the Aurora Borealis (or Northern lights) were visible across several states in the Midwest.
Some lights could be seen as late as Sunday.
