On this day, we want to take time to remember the countless lives lost and affected by the tragedies of 9-11. 25 years ago, many woke up not knowing how difficult this day would be.
Marquand Zion School would like to invite you to take time to remember each life lost with a moment of silence during the day. Remember the Firefighters, the paramedics, the Police officers, and the thousands of people who thought it would be just another day at the office.
It will never be just another day. We will NEVER forget.

Marquand-Zion Elementary would like to thank the Marquand United Methodist Church for helping supply Nurse Kathy with $500 worth of clothing. The clothing will be used for students in grades PK-12. The money was raised through VBS and the congregation. Nurse Kathy, Administration, and Staff wish to say again, thank you to the MUMC for the thoughtful donation.
Today, MZ staff and students had the honor of sending off 2026 graduate Ella Snode as she leaves for Basic Training with the National Guard!
We are incredibly proud of Ella and wish her the very best as she begins this exciting new chapter. We know she will represent MZ well and serve our country proudly! ❤️🤍💙

💜💛 A BIG Thank You to First Baptist Church!
We are a little late getting this posted, but as you can imagine, back-to-school week has been a little crazy! 😊
A huge thank you to First Baptist Church for providing lunch, cake, and a sweet little gift for all of our MZ staff on Monday! It was such a nice break in the middle of a busy day of meetings and preparing for Open House.
We truly enjoyed getting to slow down for a little while, enjoy a great lunch, and spend time with even greater people. We are so thankful for the continued love and support shown to our staff and school by our wonderful community.
Thank you, First Baptist Church, for thinking of us and helping make our first week back a little sweeter! 💜🐅💛
📚 Student Schedule Pickup
Any Marquand-Zion student in grades 6–12 can stop by Friday morning or anytime Monday to pick up their class schedule from Mrs. Greer.
We encourage students to come by early if possible! There will likely be long lines Monday evening during Open House, so picking up your schedule ahead of time will help you avoid the wait.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and kicking off a great school year! 💜💛🐅

📚 High School Class Scheduling
Mrs. Greer will be at Marquand-Zion tomorrow to schedule classes for students in grades 9–12.
⏰ Scheduling Times:
9:00–11:30 AM
1:00–2:30 PM
If you’d like to get your schedule taken care of ahead of time and avoid the scheduling crowd during Open House, feel free to stop by during either of these times!
