Teachers and Students from Marquand Zion Schools traveled to the St. Louis Kaplan-Feldman Holocaust Museum on Friday September 12th.
Students were allowed to tour the museum which featured exhibits and artifacts from the Holocaust of World War II with most displays involving St. Louis natives and their families.
Inside the museum were many displays of letters, cards, wardrobe and items brought back from Nazi Germany by survivors and their families. Students also met Larry and Susie Kessler of St. Louis, visitors to the museum. Larry’s mother was a holocaust survivor.
The tour ended with a video presentation inside of a replica train car just like those used by the Nazis to transport Jews to Concentration Camps.
The St. Louis Kaplan-Feldman museum is open to the public Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
