The Marquand-Zion cross-country runners finished up their regular season this past week with a strong finish at Dexter.
On Saturday, October 21, they ran in the Dexter Invitational.
Ariah Stephens finished 8th in the MS girl's race. In the MS boys race, Blake Stephens finished 12th, Kolby Stafford finished 18th, and Tristian Hays finished 20th. In the JV boys race, Eli Reimler finished 11th and Hayden Wolfe finished 13th. Ariah, Blake, Eli, and Hayden all brought home medals! Kolby's time was about 2 and a half minutes better than last year's time at Dexter, and Tristian bettered his last year's time by over a minute! It was a good end to the regular season for the runners! We are proud of them!
MZCC traveled to Farmington/Engler Park on Saturday, October 14, and Eli and Hayden ran in the Heartland Conference meet at Cape County Park on Tuesday, October 17.
Eli and Hayden will travel to Notre Dame in Cape to compete in the Class 1, District 1 meet. If either (or both) of them finish 30 or better, they will move on to the State Championship in Columbia the following weekend.
Run fast, run hard!
